My Story
Victoria Salisbury, a dedicated educator at Eagleridge Elementary School in Ferndale, Washington, spent three decades nurturing the love for reading in her first-grade students. Her inspiration for writing her own story stemmed from Joy Cowley’s captivating book, Greedy Cat’s Breakfast.
In 2024, after a fulfilling teaching career, Victoria embarked on a unique adventure, spending five months working in the icy expanse of Antarctica. During her time there, she encountered a skua, which instantly became the muse for her upcoming book.
Now, Victoria is relishing her retirement in Ferndale, surrounded by her wonderful husband, Jon, and their mischievous dog, Louie.
